Edge-banding adhesive providing excellent results with optimal melting speed, ability to retain its properties when exposed to air, and viscosity.
NoticeFrequently check the temperature of the adhesive in the rolls. Temperatures below the values recommended for application may shorten the time it can retain its properties when exposed to air and may result in poor adhesion. At high temperatures, it may decompose and be discoloured. Viscosity and adhesion properties may be adversely affected. When bonding cold or humid surfaces, adhesion problems may be experienced due to the shorter time it can be exposed to air. In some cases, due to the type of edge band or the presence of materials on the materials/panels that prevent adhesion, dissatisfactory adhesion may result. Therefore a preparation test is recommended. If such a problem occurs, it is recommended to use an appropriate preparatory product. Storing the product at temperatures over 30°C may cause problems with condensation.
Application areaSuitable for bonding polyester, melamine-based materials, and materials such as HPL, PVC and ABS with lining.
Instructions
Edges to be banded must be free of dust, contamination and oil.
For the best adhesion results:
- Temperature inside the reservoir must be between 160 and 180°C.
- Temperature in the rolls must be between 190 and 200°C.
- Humidity rate of the wooden material to be bonded must be between 8 and 10%.
- Ideal band speed must be between 10 and 30 m/min.
If the operation is interrupted, it is recommended to lower the tray temperature by 30–40°C in order to keep the performance of the product from deteriorating.
